I can’t believe the time has finally come to leave for Mexico. What a crazy past four months I have had! Seems like just yesterday it was March, and I was signing up to join the team – and now it’s June! This has been such an incredible experience so far, and I haven’t even made it to Mexico yet, so I can’t wait to see how God moves while we are all down there spreading the Word.
Preparing for this trip has been a lot more difficult than I would have ever expected, but with all the work there was equal amounts of blessings. I was really unsure of how I was going to be able to afford my trip and was very nervous to travel to Mexico to share the Word of God. I’ve never been one to leave my comfort zone, so when I felt God laying this trip on my heart, I was surprised to say the least. I even got a little attitude with him, hehe! I asked God if this was truly in his will for me to go on this trip that he would have to help me fund raise. I was thinking if I did a garage sale here, a bake sale there, I’d have at least enough for a down payment in one month time. He did one better, and in one weeks time my money was in my account paid in full! Lesson learned.
The whole preparation for this trip has really been a faith building experience. I’m sure everyone on this trip would agree that it’s truly by the grace of God that you can make it through all the practices, planning, packing, meetings, etc. and still make time for everything else you have going on. It really has been a balancing act for four months, but now the time has come, and I am so excited to go to Mexico with my “family” and share the love of God with other people. My expectations for this trip are to have none! Whatever I imagine as being amazing and what I want to happen I know God will top by 1000! I am putting my full faith and trust in Him that lives will be changed and touched forever and that he will have his protection around the group the entire time!
Keep us in your prayers! God Bless 🙂
P.S. We are coming for you Hodge and Wes!!! 🙂
