A week of disobedience. I’ve been home for a week and have struggled, warred with myself as I did with my luggage before going on this trip. I had one bag to check, and in it I could put what was necessary or not. Most of you know I chose both (if you haven’t heard already, my bag was 67 pounds = $200). A cost I had to pay for not making right choices.
Since I’ve been home, I have struggled with my thoughts on what is important or not in my life. Struggles of what to keep and what to get rid of in this one bag of life I have. There are truly things that I don’t want to carry with me, things that seem too much of a burden. But as the bag at the airport, there is a price to pay if you are overweight. And what if you don’t really have what you need when you get to where you are going? God is showing me what’s important this week and showing me what’s necessary. The most important, above all things, is my obedience to God and my doing His will. Nothing else is equal! I guess in my bag of life I found, at least this week, these things will fit perfectly in my bag, and neither are a weight that will cost me because my Lord paid the price so I don’t have to!
The team is at the airport in Mexico waiting for their flight.
