I am so amazed by the little things the enemy tries to discourage us with. I have had lots of little things – from Larry’s truck breaking down, to getting my feelings hurt during mission practice, to problems with my brother and my kids, arguing with the husband, not having enough time to get things done. For me, it has been all the little stuff, and all I can do is thank God because after each and every little incident there was a blessing tagged along side it. For example, Larry’s truck could have cost hundreds, even thousands, of dollars, and it was only $60 to get fixed. Getting my feelings hurt made me almost not want to go on the mission trip and then a couple days later the same person, without realizing they had hurt my feelings two days before, was a major blessing, and I was able to forget about the hurt feelings and be excited about the trip all over again. So, God is good as we all know, and keeping the faith helps us remind the enemy that there is no place for him in our lives. His attempts to destroy just make us stronger.
I don’t want to say I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings, but the blessings are so worth it all. Two more days and on a plane we will be.
