Well a day and a few hours before take-off…bags packed and work almost done.
I’ve been watching the weather in Mexico, and there have been a series of storms going through that will cause days of thunderstorms when we get there. I started to get concerned about how we will minister if that happens. I started to pray against those storms – that God would just move them out of there so that we can do what we need to do when we get there. I mean, we have prepared for months to do this – what if we can’t do what we need to when we get there? Then God quickly gave me the thought that it is NOT about the destination as much as the journey to get there. It’s what He is doing in us through the preparation of this trip so He can use us anywhere. The songs we sang on Mission Sunday at church were for God to saturate us with himself, his holy spirit. So maybe the rains are sent by God as a representation in the physical of what He is going to do in the spiritual.
Pray for us, church, that God will do just that and saturate our souls!
Blessings,
Kim Mott
