As we are wrapping up our final preparation day, I am sitting here wondering if the team will arrive on time this year. And when I look down at the keyboard to make sure I am hitting the correct keys, I noticed that my right arm is sunburned and my left arm is as white as a ghost. So now I have to worry about sitting on the other side of the car to even out my “mexican farmer’s tan.” LOL My job is so difficult…
In the teaching that I gave at two services this week, I mentioned a verse out of Psalm 138…it says: “The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me.” And that is exactly what He is doing here. The team will be on their way soon, and I pray that as they travel, they would focus on that scripture. God is going to fulfill His purpose in each of us, whether it be to serve one another, work in the heat of the day, cook in a really hot kitchen, pray for people directly, or encourage our teammates. God has placed the right people to come this year. There is a purpose for this trip, and without one of our team members that purpose would not be fulfilled. Each person is crucial to the unification of this team. Please keep us all in your prayers as we all travel tomorrow and come together to do God´s work.
Team Mexico….we are ready for you!!! Come with good attitudes and expectant hearts because God is going to do something good in you and through you! I will be waiting for you through those double doors…you have been warned. LOL Love you guys!
A very happy missionary in Mexico,
Candace
P.S. Can someone please check Kim’s luggage? LOL
