When you step out in faith, Satan comes creepin’.
109 days to go.
We all know that as soon as we step out in faith, when we set out to further the Kingdom of God, the enemy takes notice. As the mission trip gets closer, I know the enemy is scheming. Putting doubts in my mind. Fears.
“God can’t use you,” “You’ll never raise the funds,” “It’s too dangerous,” “You’re not a strong enough Christian.”
These thoughts run through my mind. Sometimes I wonder if I made the right choice to go on this trip. But then I am reminded, my God is bigger than any lie Satan tries to throw at me! My God used Moses – a stutterer; David – an adulterer; Paul – a persecutor; Mary – a young virgin; Joseph – a carpenter; Peter – a fisherman; and Matthew – a tax collector. As well as many others. If He used all those people to change the world, why can’t He use me?
I believe God wants to use me not only on this trip, but my whole life! He wants to and can use ALL of us! Every day. In so many ways.
Mark 16:15 says “He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.'” This is not a suggestion. If we are followers of Christ, this is our job! So who are we to say that we can’t be used by God? God use anyone He wants!
And I refuse to let Satan steal my faith. I will not listen to his lies.
We are called to change the world. We can’t do this on our own. Apart from God, we can do nothing. But if we truly step out, if we give all ourselves to Him, to be a living sacrifice, He can and will use us!
Love and Blessings,
Rachel
