While praying with a friend about the many difficulties we have been facing, God gave me a vision. In the vision, we had to take ourselves and lay face up on a bench with a bar with weights on it. We were freely laying with arms up, getting set up to bench press. The weight was placed on the bar and Jesus was standing as our spotter. We could see the weight on the bar. The weight, at first, was tough, but we were still able to push up that bar.
Then, there was an increase of weight, but Jesus was still standing ready, cheering us on. Then more weight was placed, and the bar in our minds began to bend. We felt overwhelmed by the weight and could see it crushing us. And then Jesus, with the strength of his might, his love, and his power merely placed his fingers under our bar and lifted what we could not on our own.
The impossible becomes possible because of His help at our heads and in his hands.
This world, at times, is a horrible place. Some days, the world seems to have the power to crush everything within us. The Lord promised that in this world there would be trouble, but to take heart because He has overcome the world. This is our promise from God. Take your eyes off the weight, hold your position, do all that you can to press and push on. Look to Him for He has the power to hold all things in his hands. Nothing is too difficult for Him.
