After reading Kim’s blog about after the trip, I could not help but think along the same lines. Since we have been home, I have been hit by the enemy so much. There have been some very personal issues – Larry got sideswiped in Washington DC so his truck is in the shop and when he is out of work there is no money. On top of that, we got rear-ended yesterday. I am not getting to anything I am supposed to be getting to, but you know what? – GOD IS GOOD. And all I can keep doing is just laughing and smiling because when the enemy attacks, the blessings from GOD are so much more tremendous that you can’t help but smile and look forward to what GOD has in store for us.
The other thing that I keep thinking about is how little the people of Mexico have and how happy they all seem. After coming home from Mexico, I just look around and keep thinking how I don’t need 90% of this stuff I now consider garbage to get by. Now, more than ever, I want to have that yard sale and send a good portion of the proceeds to the Mexico Orphanage.
The things I took for granted seem like a luxury to me now and a bigger blessing from God.
