Last night, when we got home from a long day of ministering on the streets of Mexico, I found out my grandma had had a heart attack and was in surgery. I am very, very close with my grandma. I have always said if I could be anything like her, even a quarter, that I would be a great woman. I was devastated, knowing I could not go be with her and hold her hand and tell her how much she really means to me and that I love her. She really has shaped who I am, and I owe her so much. I was crying, but I could not have been with better people. The people who I would call my family comforted me and prayed with me for my grandma.
Praise God, it was not her time, and she made it through the surgery! This was her second heart attack this month, too. My grandma is tough. A couple of weeks ago, she walked herself down the steps of the front porch while having a heart attack lol. I can’t explain how happy I was finding out she had made it and that God had protected her. I was also blessed beyond belief by someone who means the world to me. They knew how much she means to me and how helpless and sad I was to be so far away and God placed it in their heart to go see my grandma today :)! They texted me that she was doing a lot better and was going to be able to go home in a few days and was resting…and also that she was talking about wanting to go home today haha. I told you – she’s tough! This made my day and showed me how blessed I am that God has placed these people in my life. Those simple blessings that mean the most – that is the best thing anyone could ever do for me is to be with her for me.
I just praise God and thank God for my amazing friends who I really see as family…and all those blessings…like buying me a pillow when I forget mine on this mission trip in Mexico..:). Thanks again, Pastor Don and the ladies who went to the store!
Thank you, God, for today and for being able to help at the orphanage and minister to the children and people of Las Blancas…Dios te bendiga :).
Keep praying for us! Big things are happening!
